Carpet Cleaning

Generally we recommend carpet cleaning in your office and home at least once a year. Should you have a high foot traffic or indoor pets and children it is highly recommended to Steam Clean  your carpets twice a year to maintain a healthy environment.

With our system of carpet steam cleaning we effectively remove fleas, bed bugs, dustmites, bacteria and pathogens, without the use of chemicals. Although our equipment kills 99.9% of bacteria, dust mites, bed bugs,lice, fleas etc , we do not guarantee complete extermination of pests and insects.

We have been able to successfully remove tobacco smoke, incense smells from carpets without the use of chemicals. However, we cannot guarantee we can completely remove smoke smell from your carpet due to several factors , like dwell time, type of carpet fiber, has there been previous attempts to remove the smoke as incorrect methods can make the smell worse. Removal of soot from a fire damage that has occurred for more than 48 hours will be near impossible as Soot is acidic by nature.

With our Certified System of steam cleaning we are able to remove and disinfect the mold that causes the odor from your wet carpets without the use of chemicals. Steam Cleaning at 170°C also disinfects and removes all pathogens from the contaminated area. We use A SABS approved specific detergent that neutralises the protein in the urine that assists with the stain removal.

Your carpets collect dust, dirt and other pollutants daily. A build up of dust will form a layer of dirt on your carpets. This layer of dirt will increase the friction on your carpet giving it a sand paper effect, prematurely wearing down and damaging your carpet. Regular vacuuming of your carpet will help prolong the life of your carpet.

Carpets that are Steam Cleaned by East Coast Industro Services typically take 2-3 hours to dry in room temperatures above 22°C.

You can walk the length and width of the room and send us this information. For steps, we require the number of steps you have as well as the number of landings

For any fabric cleaning, time is your enemy. The faster you react the better your chances are to prevent staining and odors. Dab all spills with a damp cloth to remove excess moisture. Sprinkle baking soda over the soiled area and spray with a vinegar and water solution (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water) This fizzing action will assist in removing any possible stains and the vinegar will assist in netralising the area. Dab dry with a cloth and allow to dry. Allow to dry without any traffic on the affected area. When fabric/carpets remains wet for more than 24 hours, bacteria starts to develop known as mold. This mold is what causes the odor on fabrics and carpets
